Jr. Highers- Our Future Stars Junior highers did the best they could while partici- pating in sports. Many of them played hard anxiously awaiting the opportunity to play on athletic teams in high school. Many of the seventh and eight graders went to high school athletic events and dreamed about becoming another Linda West or Joey Brooks. When talking to them facts like wanting junior high interscholastic sports were revealed. One seventh grader stated, I don't really think it's fair for the older kids to be able to play against other people and not us. To solve this problem school events for junior highers were planned. Racquet ball and volleyball toumaments were played off. This seemed to satisfy their urge to compete until they too may wear a letter and become one of the many athletic stars at Serra High School. -1 F 4 4 i l Jr. High 83
