Q's Get 'Near Pin' On Title Pin him , 'Get him in a half nielson , were just some of the phrases Serra fans screamed as they watched the wrestling team go against their opponents. The wrestling team did not disappoint their audiences as they came out with a 9-3 record. Coach Larry Penacho supervised the guys and stated that all of them were willing to put in extra hours to better themselves and the team. Sacrifices included dieting to either lose or gain wieght and running during the holidays and week- ends. Top performers were Eric Picou, Chris Valdivia and Tony Kimbrough but the whole team did extremely well through out the season. Mat girls were along side of the wrestlers taking down statistics and cherring them on. As the season went on the mat girls were more commonly referred to as Penachds girls. Both the wrestlers and Penachds girls worked along side by side for the success of wrestling team. Everyone is looking forward next season where hope- fully the team will win the league title. , f L' ' W. ff . 60 Athletics
