Swimming for Q ,S l Although the season was a winless one, the girls swim team gained regognition for being one that always tried and who never lost their spirit. The team practiced hard everyday after school at the Mission Valley Swim and Racquet Club. All their efforts seem to fail however, though part of the problem was due to the fact that onl seveteen girls went out for the sport. Because ofy this the team raced in only junior varsity competition. Most strong teams had between thirty five to forty members so Sl-IS was no match Coach Kris Mallory devoted many hard hours assisting the girls. When asked how she felt about the team, Mrs. Mallory expressed the opinion that they tried hard and the team did the best possible job they could have done. She also stated that she would like to see more students next year to make the team stronger and more victorious. u,-rf. ., ., ......M,M.f., , ww- 1. ,W . . g .. . . ' ,, ,,: .V , K.
