Play Productions Definite Success The first plays of the year, went very well as the three nights of performances unfolded. Long, hard hours of practice and rehearsals paid off, and the audi- ences of all three nights enthusiastically applauded the casts of both plays. The first play 'Sorry Wrong Number' was a drama depicting a neurotic invalid whose husband is planning to murder her. But the tension caused by the play was quickly released by laughter as the next play, a comedy, 'Louder I Can't Hear You'. This play was about a family where nobody hears anybody else, and the mother is determined to make them listen. The plays were a definate success and the audiences were very enthusiastic. All of this together made the Play Production an enjoyable experience for parents, teachers, and students alike. Uhbgw.. , 1. What number are you calling please? Barefoot Dancers Not Christmas was celebrated by holding a Snow Ball, Serra's first dance, in the newly-opened gymnasium. Since the gym hadn't been available during Newcoming week, Queen Roberta Ott and her lovely Princesses were honored at the dance. In this way, the Snow Ball was a dual Newcoming and Christmas festivity. Through the efforts of a talented decorating committee, the gym was transformed into a Christ- mas wonderland. Red, green, and white crepe paper cascaded from the ceiling in the form of huge domes, under which couples could dance. Cook VII was the featured band, and students eagerly danced to its tunes throughout the evening. Despite early complaints of dancing in bare feet on the new gym floor, the dance was a big success.
