Spirit Week started with a lot of Student involvement. A leg contest gave many male stu- dents the chance to flaunt their muscle bound works of art. The contestants brought pictures of their legs to school. The event was quite popular with the girls, they were often caught glancing and peeking at the pictures. One of the major highlights of the week were the tricycle races. The race enthusiasts came equiped with their crash helmets and steel nerves to compete in the race, in which all class- es participated. To start promoting newcoming day a pep rally was held. The rally included cheers, a banana eating contest between classes, song routines, and a lot of crowd involvement chants. This years 76-77 Spirit Week concluded with a Brown and Gold day. The pep club, cheerleaders, teams and a majority of the student body came decked out in their beloved school colors. xr. 1. Students vote for their favorite pair of legs during lunchtime. 2. Newcoming Day begins with a pep rally held by the cheerleaders with song routines, cheers, and contests between classes. 3. Debbi Bailey proudly poses as a Serra Conqulstador on the seniorfloat. 4. Members of the pep club show their Serra spirit as they cheer enthusiastically. 5.
