Fillet Fishers Speckled Student Body M This year's Rifle Club was just the beginning. Shooting was a hobby for the members, and competing with other schools never happened. Next year the members will be split into varsity and junior varisty teams. They will no longer be a club but instead they will be one of the many C.l.F. teams representing our school. The Running Club was made up of 7th and Sth grade runners, the junior varsity and varsity Cross Country team, and the junior varsity and varsity track squad. Coaches Robert Oliver and Stephen Haiman were the advisors of the club. The club's main emphasis was to improve the level of physical fitness in the student body at Serra. Although they didn't get started until the second semester, the Fishing Club managed to do quite well. Car washes were planned to help raise money for fishing trips. Meetings were held to plan such extracurricular activities. The club's advisor, Mr. John Brickley, helped the club get as much out of this year as possible. Freedom Foundation ,Model U.N. Give me liberty or give me death , this famous quotation lived in the hearts of Freedom Foundation enthusiasts. Many projects were planned such as a mural of Junipero Serra. Also Barbara Autrey and Harvey Ray won a trip to Washington D.C. World peace is what the Model U.N. club was trying to acheive. During conferences, students tried to solve the social, political and economic problems of their individual countries. W Q 412' 9 in , f 7 0. , , l K 4 , 'lil - . -1. I t .HU -- .- .,.
