ADMINISTRATION BRO. WILLIAM BOLTS, SM Principal; Alumni; Social Studies Chairman; History Seminar; Morianist Superior Dear Graduates: Our decade seems to live in a state of per- petual crisis. Some crises are certainly real, while others manifest a lack of direction so prevelant among people of today. Whatever their origin they still require the reflective man to evaluate the ideas, social conditions, or acts which generate these crises. It is our hope that the challenge and environment of Serra High School during your four years has given you the capacity to evaluate, to view the world and man from a Christian stance, and to relate to God, Our Father, and to your fellow man. In o recent college commencement address Bob Hope humorously pointed out that he was supposed to launch the students from the rare- fied academic atmosphere into the world, but that he had just been from there and didn ' t know if he wanted to let them loose in it. Bob Hope notwithstanding, we know that we can be confident in this world with a spirit of Christian hope and optimism to motivate our lives so that we can leave the world a bet- ter place for our having lived here Your Morianist and lay faculty is confi- dent that you have progressed toward these goals during your high school education. The class of ' 68 has been unique in many aspects — leadership, academic excellence, imagina- tive programs and ideas. It is your responsi- bility now to continue your maturing, so as loyal sons of Serra you can exemplify our school motto, the words of Christ, Be You Witnesses For Me. Sincerely in J. M, J. Brother William Bolts, S.M. Principal
