Anderson in gra+i'I'ude for all he has ac- complished for Junipero Memorial High School. We are honored 'ro have Colonel Anderson as our 'Friend and +eacher. is EDITORIAL Our four years in high school has been a fime of preparafion and of decision. This preparaiion has included varied ac+ivi+ies fo develop fhe many aspecfs of our being-physical, menfal, social, and religious. We have learned fo co-opera'I'e wi'l'h o'I'hers, +o work iogeiher as a feam or in class organizafion, and yei' 'I'o recognize individual respon- sibilify and endeavor. We have gained ceriain insighi' inio human be- havior and have acquired poise and a spirif of friendliness, essenfials of a well balanced social life. We have gained knowledge fhrough our academic classes and have learned self-discipline and increased facilify in reasoning. Ye'l' all fhese acquiremenfs would be bui' a burnishing, a facade, if we had noi learned io mee'I' ourselves and +o know where we sfand in relafion fo God and fo fhe world. Through our religious fraining in class and in fhe Chrislian spirif lived daily ai' school, we have come fo know God beH'er, +o recognize ourselves, and fo realize our responsibiliiy fo carry on fhe work of Chrisi' in our lives. During fhese four years we have had +o make many decisions. Our mosi' imporfani' ones have concerned our fufure, our careers and fhe plans made for fhem. These decisions we have noi' made lighfly: we know iheir imporianceg bu'l' we have made ihem confidenily as sfrong well-'Formed Chrisfians recognizing our powers and our responsibilifies. Graduafion is 'iruly a commencemenf, fhe beginning of our lives as mafured young people ready io rake our place in ihe responsible adulf life of our lime. If we have ufilized our opporfuniiies, we are well equipped 'lo meei' fhe challenge. This year book of I958 is an aHemp+ +o show fhe preparaiion fhai' Junipero Memorial High School has given us and 'lo 'lhank all rhose responsible for our fraining.
