J'HSlQ1if In tne fall of '43' some flfteen unmnowxng unsopnlstlcated fresh.en stepped upon tae bottom rung of the ladder wnicn led one tnrougn trlals and d1sapoo1ntments and success and failure and f1nally to tne awe 1nsp1r1ng topmost rung graduat1on Durlrg tne first year tne 1nm'ture caterpillars were con- tent to remain aloof and watch tne older and more experienced Juniors and Seniors at tne1r 806141 functions le came through Freshman Initiation with only a few bruises lt wasn't as bad as we were led to belleve it would be Urs Lewls was tne Freshnan Class Sponsor that year During our second year when we nad increased ln age and in tell1gence we again chose Yrs Lewls for our class sponsor The year was fllled w1th BXC1t6W8Dt and learning New members were Jerry Witt and Naom1 Graham In tne second semester we lost Gil bert lousel 1945 brought about our Junxor year we now have become u per classmen and many duties and privileges were bestowed upon tracted tne largest crowd in years We received our class rings We also galned a new member in tne f1rst semester Alyce Graham and in tne second semester Luther Uden joined our nunh ber The big event of tne year was preparing and putting on the Junlor Senior Banquet wh1cn was a succe s with a lot f hard work by the class and our class sponsor Vrs Lewis We have now emerged from tne cocoon stage to that which cor responds to tne full fledged butterfly We are in possession of certain 1nal1enable rxgnts wh1cn are peculxarly ours as senlors A few of the numerous events wn1cn have taren place thms year under tne supervxsmon of Vr Weeks our class sponsor are The School Carnival the 'ECHO' the WANWUAL' Sneak Day Commence- ment and many others to naxe the year the most eventful and the most joyous of all Our Sen or Class Play 'Taze It Easynwas un- der the d1T8Ct10D of Piss Johnson We lost Jerry W1tt th1s year and gained Bob Hansen a World War II veteran We are sixteen strong as we emerge from the nalls of J H S to a fascinating merry go-round of life on our own Vay God guxde us on our way Eileen Kunce till!!!
