Although not allowed in the halls of JDHS until we were sophomores we entered grand and glorious ant) 340 strong. We were properly put in our place with our initiation assembly where you mighty say we sort of lost ojur shoes. We were reiuiflded of our place as underclassmen when we were presented with our official toilet seat from the Seniors.‘Our President Marilyn Thibodeau was on hand to accept it. Other officers that year included Dick Gobble-Vice-President, Marlyn Twitcliell- Secretary-Treasurer, Darwin Walters and Doug Pepl as Representatives. The highlight of the year L was hosting the S.E. Basketball Tournament at vdiich our Basketball team placed fourth, Drill ■- Tedm placed sfecdnd, and the Varsity Cheerleaders placed first. All Th all it was a very exciting year. Our fund raising project for the year was the slave auction. Our Junior year was a busy one, no longer were we the low people on the totem pole but safe and secure in Ute middle. We managed to get Mac away from the Seniors (much to their grief and re- turned him to the school for the first basketball assembly). Although we didn't manage to do extremley well during Spirit Week, we did win the Spirit Banner five consecutive times, which was more times than any other class. We also were the. proud hosts of S .E. Wrestling Tournament and S.E. Swim Meet. Our spirits were still high as we approached the musical, The Music Man , it was a huge success. We ended our year with a sigh at our own magical, mystical Junior Prom, Could it Be Magic . Our officers being as busy as the rest were, President Lori Larson, Vice- President Clyde Andrews, Secretary-Treasurer Debbie ReTnwand, Representatives Mike Zagars and Mike Scnmitz. ■ In our ftnal'year at J-D we entered with the same enthusiasm as we had as sophomores. Our class now numbers only 250 but very strong and united. Our class officers brought back many of our old traditions such as the bonfire and Snake Dance through much hard work. Our officers incHiWn President DnSyPeel, Vice-President Djc.k.Cauieroau Secretary-Treasurer Valerie Westcott, plus Representatives Richard WhiTehea’dandMark Smith. Once again we managed to be the proud bearers of Mac before the first pep assembly. During our Senior year we were the proud hosts of the S.E. Musical Festival, the State Basketball Tournament and successful Senior Class Play, ■•(• finally come to the end of our last year. We leave both with joy and sorrow, but we leave. ¥W 19
