H ome Economics adds courses of student interest Expanding their course offerings, the Home Economics department added four quarter classes and a semester course. The expanded curriculum includes. Earth Foods, Arts and Crafts, Sociology of Women, Introduction to Cosmetology and Weight-Watchers. Decorating the home built by the Vocational Carpentry class, was the project presented to the Advanced Interior Decorators. Decorating the home involved deciding on color schemes, cabinetry, paneling, flooring, and home appliances. The Gourmet class worked with h rench III students for a quarter. This combination helped students to exchange ideas on French culture and gourmet cooking. Food service and other Home Ec. classes continued to operate basically the same as in previous years. Teaching techniques were enhanced by using demonstrations and outside speakers. Home Economics-19
