He has spent all of his school years in a town about 30 miles from his birthplace. Mr. McMillan has spent more years in college than any of us ever hope to spend. He has attended Valley City State Teachers, U. of N. D., WSC, U. of W.. and the U. of Denver. He has taught in North Dakota. Mon- tana, and good old Juneau. We are indebted to this man for many of our school activities. He is very proud of the students in Juneau High School, and his main concern is to have a happy and well organized high school. Page 9 TENUE T Much work is required to run a school efficiently. One of the people who is responsible for our schools is Mr. Palmer. A graduate of the University of Minne- sota, he has been assistant superintend- ent of the Juneau Schools for two years. His job consists mainly of handling school supplies, making improvements in the schools, and setting up programs for the new teachers. He also travels as a chaperone with the basketball team on their out-of-town trips. George B. McMillan S-. xr 4 Page l0 in-:Q 'Q SEATFD: Wrmlrcr Fields. The strains of Winter XXfonderland floated through the gym, as the SIZNIORS presented the annual Senior Ball. Shimmering snow flakes, gay snow men, and a gi- gantic Christmas tree carried out the theme. Under Class President joe Abel, the seniors worked hard to make the ball a big success. Nancy Komatsubara and Clharmayne Yakopatz were Co-Chairmen of the dec- oration committee. Nanci Wfentzel presided over the publicity, and Don Leege was in Charge of the food. Jennie Morris organized the surprise entertainment. The electri- cians were led by Dennis O'Day. jan Hanson and Marilee Nowacki collaborated on the programs, while Malin Babcock took care of tables. Invitations were in the hands of Ruth jones. The next morning joe Abel cracked the whip over the clean-up committee. Page 31 i I-4 151 MOST TALENTED ' f mync Yukopntv. Yes, that was the theme and a very good description of the 1957 Girls' Club Tolo. We take our hats off to the sophomore girls, whose theme was chosen. The Tolo couples found themselves being invaded by little men who had just come from outer space. The theme was further enhanced by the eerie purple and green darkness that the decorations provided. Super-colossal refreshments were served in the best manner possible to keep in style with the outer world. All the girls put their best foot forward to make this Tolo the best ever. The music was Out of This World. Hello. Earth People! Couples relaxing while waiting for refreshments.
