On September 2, thirty-five green Freshmen experienced their first mike fright. About a week after being on the air the election of the board of directors for the newly organized FROSH station was held. Dick Stallard and Gwendolyn VanderSchaaf were elected as student council representatives. The Freshmen are proving their worth in the various extra-curricular broadc asts. When their contract expires in 1945 they are determined to have turned the dial of success. Gwendolyn VanderSchaaf, Frank Kletzel, Ruth Polfuss, William Lehner, Richard Stallard, Evelyn Zuberbuehler, William Gahlman Gladys Galoff. The student council, a fairly new school organization, was formed again this year under the leadership of William Lehner. The main numose of the council Is to speak for the student body In any matter of concern to the students themselves, The students may submit any problems to the council and It Is the duty of t he council to take the problem to the proper authorities. The council takes charge of certain school festlvltes each year. The council Is composed of eight members, two from each of the four classes. These members are elected by popular vote. This year the council had charge of the weekly social hours which proved to be a greet success. The council also had charge of the entire Homecoming orogram and did a fine Job In making the Homecoming a grand success. They have done their share In defense work by contributing to the Badger Bomber. We sincerely hope that the council will continue to be a school organization and that It will become more and more active.
