Dedication For her precious lime and deep concern for the lives and futures of the students at J.H.S. Not just for encouraging them to get the best out of life that it had to offer, but for not let- ting them give up when discouragement seemed unreal. Despite the hardships and shortcomings of her tedious and painstaking job, her stamina was not tom down, but built up by the knowledge and wisdom she gained through these experi- ences . Now as you end your career, it is with great appreciation, love, and respect that we, the Golden Eagle staff dedicate this 1977 Golden Eagle to you, Mrs. Roybeth Blackburn. Memorial — A Teacher Is Forever. Natalie Wallace 1909-1977 Mrs. Wallace began her teaching career with the Copperas I.S.D. in Kimble County in 1928-29. She then began teaching in Junction I.S.D. in 1929-41 and 61-76. She died in January: As a teacher, her outstanding qualities of dedication, her loy- alty, fairness, and devotion to the welfare of her students, as individual beings was evidenced by a constant look out for improvement in herself as a teacher in relation to them. She sought better plans for children through available resources of the day. --Mrs. Ruth Franks I am grateful that I got to know Natalee Wallace, a rare and wonderful center of faith and warmth and love. And that we had her funeral in the sanctuary, Jack Hunnicutt and Sam Coffey co-leading. If you have been touched by Natalee, if you were one of her friends you might especially like to have a copy of this poem she included in a hand-made Thanksgiving card she fixed for her dear friend, Ruth Franks, on friendship: Friendship is a beautiful chain of gold fashioned in God's all perfect mold. Each link a smile, a laugh, a tear, a grip of the hand, a word of cheer. It is as steadfast as the ages roll binding closer each soul to soul. No matter how far or how heavy the load happy is the journey on friendship’s road. Grace and Peace, Rev. Roland Cole Newsletter--Junction Methodist Church 2
