Zhe Qolden Eagle Edited By the Yearbook Staff of Junction High School This is a Newsfoto Publication Life’s most priceless possession is memory. Memories that are happy and memories that are a little sad are a part of the existence at Junction High. This issue of the Golden Eagle is intended to keep those memories alive. Turn slowly through the pages now and observe how many memories re- turn. May this edition of the Golden Eagle help you to relive in beautiful memory one year of the best years of your life. Milda Kothmann Cindy Chandler O G£ Q Although he has been in our school system only five years, already he has contributed much to JHS. We have learned to respect and admire him as a teacher and a friend. For the past two years he has been the sponsor of the Golden Eagle Staff, and without his advice and assistance it would be impossible to continue to produce the school annual. Because he devotes his time and energy to helping us, we, the students of JHS, dedicate this edition of the Golden Eagle to Mr. Wesley Hayhurst 3 Zke Campus of (function High School The Primary building under construction. Believe it or not, this is the future entrance of the gym. 4 This is a typical scene of our beautiful campus. Is it possible to improve the appearance of this scene? Superintendent of Sc,hoots Dear Students, This is the last of a series, and a very difficult letter to write. I have been your superintendent for the past five years and have grown to love Junction High School and its fine young men and young women. As I move on to a new school, new students, new friends, I shall always treasure my days spent in Junction as some of the happiest, most progressive and rewarding days of my life. By your attitude, initiative, and perseverance, you have made our school program one of the best in the state, and lam proud of each one of you, graduates and undergraduates alike. My thanks to all of you for helping to make my tenure here a most pleasant ex- perience, and my sincerest best wishes that your future will be everything you desire. Sincerely, J. D. Engman Principal [Junction Public Schools Students, May I take this opportunity to thank you for your near perfect conduct this year, and to remind you of all the nice things that our visitors have said about you as an audi- ence. Such conduct reflects that you have had good training in your home, your community and your school. May I remind you, too, that as time goes on, we are compiling an enormous amount of new knowledge. In order for each of you to take your place in this fast changing society, it will be necessary for you to work harder as you continue your pursuit of an education.
