New Principals Bring A Positive Outlook MR. MILTON BROOKS Taking over the job of Principal at JCHS this year, Mr. Milton Brooks set his one major goal: To have the best high school in Kansas. Toward this end he has worked diligently. Mr. Brooks has been involved with school administration for over 21 years and in six schools. After receiving his Bachelor of Science degree from Northwestern State in Oklahoma, he went on to earn a Masters degree from Phillips University at Enid, Oklahoma. He also has attended the University of Oklahoma, Kansas State University, and Fort Hays State College. Another goal that I would like to see come about is that each student gets an equal opportunity for an education, stated Mr. Brooks. MR. MACK HENINGTON Assistant Principal Mack Henington is better known as Dean of Students andHead of Curriculum. Mr. Henington was born in Belen, New Mexico, and has lived near Aspen, Colorado. He has both the Bachelor of Science and Master of Arts degrees. As for experience, he has been a superintendent for three years and a principal for four. The discipline of a school is based on the morale and attitude of the faculty and student body, is Mr. Henington's philosophy. MR. JERRY MURRAY Assistant Principal Jerry Murray is officially known as the Activities Director. Mr. Murray was born in Jewell County and was graduated from Montrose High School. He has attended Fort Hays State and Emporia State Colleges from which he received the B. A. and M. A. degrees, majoring in Physical Education. He has been an elementary principal and also a superintendent. The students' attitude and friendliness, as well as the staff's cooperation, have been outstanding, said Mr. Murray. ''As. 1
