The Junior Kayg have, among many other things, donated S50 for the new Senior Choir robes. and S25 to the senior high band and orchestra. and provided the tennis team with uniforms. The Spartans running attack was too much for the Jays as Emporia had a total of 92 yards rushing while the Jays were held to 41 yards. Emporia scored early in the third quarter when they recovered a fumble on the Junction City 40 yard line. A drive was started by the Blue .lays early in the fourth quarter which ended tn the Spartans 40 yard line with a fumble. liinporia promptly started a drive of their own which ended with the second touchdown for he Spartans. Mitchell took the ball over from the six yard lille after Shirley, Traner. and Mitchell had carried the pigskin for a total of 54 yards in five carries, Laws kicked the extra point to make the score read 13-U. The Jays defensive play looked good as they brake through the Spar- tans line several times to halt ETn1poria's secondary down for setbacks.
