XXX Ill I I XXXYN Xi HONORED SENIORS The following students were selected by a committee of the faculty as members of the graduating class who have been outstanding leaders in their class. In choosing these students the following factors were considered: Scholarship, Character, Attitude, School Service and Leadership. X 1-. 1 1 lllln t ALBERT BADER Albert's interests have not been centered on any one thing, judging from his list of activ- ities. Athletics come in for their part as well as Music, and Club work. His success in all his activities prove his interest in each. His attitude as a student should be ranked at the head of his activities. As a leader of students activities and student thought the school will long remember K and his work. Glee Club, Hi-Y, Track, Class Officer, Dramatic Club, Opperetta, Football, Year Book Staff, Jay Birds, and Contest Play. ROBERT FEGAN All through his high school career Bob has shown a great interest in any thing in which he takes part. In all that he enters he works to make it a success-and usually succeds. Bob is an outstanding member of the Senior Class with unusual ability as an actor. ,lay Birds Club, Dra'inatic Club, Hi-Y Club, Hi-Y Cabinet, Football, Track, Operetta, Dramatic Club plays. MARIORIE GEOFFROY Marjorie is another person who makes a success of whatever she undertakes. Herinterest is not confined to any one particular thing but she has taken a part in most every activity which the school sponsors. Her attitude toward her school work in general is one to be commended. Spanish Club, S. E. A. Club, Parliamentry Club, Year Book Staff, Blue Belles, Bluej Staff, Cheer Leader, Tennis Champion. 1 DORIS STANDEFER Entering the I. C. H. S. as a Junior, Doris soon took a prominent part in the activities of the School. Her ability as a student of the Commercial Course is well proven by the fact that she won several prizes in the State typing contests and also that one found her in the office of the Principal during vacant periods carrying on the duties of a secretary. ' By taking advantage of every opportunity to be of service to the School she has gained favor and is well liked by all. G. R. Club, Operetta, Editor of Blue J, Year Book Staff, Typing Contest, Office Work, Glee Club, Commercial Club. r RALPH KING Ralph has taken a great interest in the Hi-Y Club, having been a member all during his high school career. He has proven himself a very benificial member of the club, doing all that he can to further its work. However, he has several other activities beside Hi-Y in which equal interest has been shown. Hi-Y Club, S. E. A. Club, Hi-Y Cabinet, Spanish Club, Parliamentary Club. EDWARD SMILEY Ed has proven to us that he can play football and during his senior year was captain of the team. Prehaps his greatest interest lies in athletics yet this fact did not interfer with his school work as we often find is the case. His enthusiasn and zeal to do a job well means suc- cess for him in everything he enters. Football Basket Ball, Jay Birds, Track, Class Officer, Latin Club. 1 . -xx - I lg. -if , l

I 1 K . - xxxx ' ' 'llll . HH , SENIOR CLASS HISTORY Isill s Q -.1.4gg-.....- Class Colors Red and White Class Flower Carnation Before we seniors pass out of the picture, and as our last words to J. C. H. S., we are leav- ing these few facts to recall the various things which we have accomplished during our high school career. As Sophomores we were not the least bit backward, as some are. We had four boys repre- senting the class in football, two in basketball, one had the lead in the operetta, three Sophs took leads in the dramatic club play and besides these, we managed to win second place in the S. E. A. stunt and had our share of students on the honor roll during the year. We were lead by Captain Bader, First Mate Johnston, Second Mate Trott, and Third Mate Fegan. In our Junior year there were three Juniors on the football team, two on the basketball squad, three took the leads in the Operetta and we were well represented in the Dramatic Club play, won second again in the S. E. A. stunt, had several students on the honor roll, girl tennis champions were from our rank and best of all we showed the seniors the time of their lives at the Junior-Senior banquet. Our leaders were none other than Joe Shellhaas - President, Ed Smiley - Vice President, Lawrence Platt - Secretary, and Mildred Trott - Treasurer. What we haven't done as seniors this year for dear old Junction City High School is not worth mentioning. The captain of the football team was none other than Ed Smiley, a senior, the lead in the Charm School was taken by Bob Fegan. We carried home all the honors from the S. E. A. Banquet, we put out a six page Blue I once a week which is indeed a record, through us the Sneak Day was established as a tradition of the school. Albert Bader took the lead in the Operetta, The Gypsy Rover . Dick Geoffroy and Vernon Cromb, the cheerleaders, were seniors. Bob Clark headed the S. E. A. Board and the seniors always had their share of honor students. Say! what wasn't accomplished by we seniors this year? The record we are leaving to you Juniors and Sophomores is a hard one to beat and we challenge you to try to surpass the standing of the class of 29 . It can't be done. Class Officers: President Charles Lockhart Vice President Bob Clark Secretary Mildred Dickson Treasurer Ed Smiley Ill xxxxx m 1
