Vice President Nlelvin Cowen, Secretary JUNIORS About eleven years ago in 1913. little .lolwinie Junior with his face, neck and earsscrubhed, clean and shiny. a red polka dot blouse, big red tie and a slate under has arm started on his long strenuous journey along tue road of SCl100i life iaccompai ied by his mother for several daysy. johiinie junior did very good work at school and soon he had become an artist in play- ing marbles He weathered fairly well the storms of the first six years, including his dear cranky teachers and l.-ssons, and in September l92'l. little Junior marched proudly up ilze sl nfs of the junior High School. Ilis arms were full of books and he expected. with the aid of those terrible, awe-inspiring t athers. to soon have his head somewhat fuller of knowledge. Never- theless when after three years at junior High School, junior and classmates embarked atour est.-eniwd Senior Iligh School, tl ere was still a vast amount of space left for Mr. Chandler's force of grade reducers to fill with learning . junior came to school every day with a football under one arm and a basketball under the other Questiong where were .lunior's hooks?. He has been very well represented on various athletic teams, especizlly basket-ball. The reason for his great ability in this line is generally assumed to be that his head resembles the ball there seems to be nothing inside but air. Now that if relilly inside dom-on the matter In spite of these qualities, Junior holds the trophy cup forinter-class basketballtournaments in 1924. junior also takes part in thevarious other school activities of -l.C.H.S including debate, llramatic Club, Glee Club, .lay Birds, Tennis, Track, Spanish Club, ,I Club and Orchestra. At the annual S, li. A banquet in 1923, .lunior won the Stunt Cup -He vton becausethejudges Could- n't decide which of the Lipper class stunts was the winner, and they just presented the trophy to .lunior as ll compomise. The .1 unior-Senior' banquet proved a great success. if upheld in every way the high standards of previous years. Well, Junior, we-'re for you in spite of your faults and your better qualities.
