Qtllbllllt 1l1t62'LP'Ll30 5306111.11011 L 00141 This IS the second year of the S E -X Board which was organwed ln 1913 for the purpo e of dlre tlng and supportmg all school EiClINltlLS So f tl nn nts career nt has been successful rn solvmg rts great problem that of fmancmg all BCUXIIICS wrthout running into dn bt Pootball was partncularly well managed thus year season tnckets were sold and exery game was thoroughly advertised and eonsequently well at tended Football contrlbutcd largely to school splrlt and left a larger balanee ln the treasury than exer before Baseball vshlch for sometime had not been enthuslastleally supported was re ned by orgmmng class teams to play for the champlonshlp of the school The hugh school team was badly rn need of new suits so the board sold a large number of season tlckets ln thus way msurmg a good crowd at each game When lt was found that b rseball would be selfsup porting the new sults were bought for the team 1 C H S had no basketball thus year but this was due to the lack of enthusiasm m the sehool ratl-er than to no support on the part of the board As the school has no actnlty such as basketball rn whrch a large ranged and pennants gnen to the wmners m smgles and doubles PENNANT RACE When the football season opened last fall Mr Blalr offereda I C H S pennant to the man on the team maknn f the great est number of tackles during the season Thus offer created quite a sharp rn rlry among the football boys and during the games the team developed a great amount of pep and tackhng ab1'1ty makmg a consider xbly better showing than other wrse would have been the ease After the season was oxer and the num ber of tackles counted lt was found that our full baek Robert Huey wus the vun ner The pennant was presented to Huey by Mr lantrs as Mr Blur wus unable to be present It ls Interesting to look at Huey s record as It caused quute 1 sensatuon Huey not only starred for junctron and made 1 greater number of taekles th an any other man on the team but was one of the cle xen chosen to make up rn all state Hrgh Sehool football team This ns certamly a remarkable reeord and one to be proud of as most all the other men were from much larger schools than junetlon ' ' .
