Several daughters had been reared in the family, and all had entertained company in the passing years. NVhen the repair man had dissected the sofa he called in the family to see the collection l which had come from the interior. lt included: Forty-seven hairpins, three mustache comhs, thirteen needles, nineteen suspenrler buttons. eight cigar- i ettes, five photographs, 217 pins, some grains of coffee, a few cloves, twenty- seven vest buttons, six pocket knives. fifteen poker chips, a vial of headache tablets, thirty-four lumps of chewing gum, nine toothpicks and four button hooks.
