Human Relations HUMAN RELATIONS includes studies in Psychol- ogy, Sociology, Anthropology, and Social Wel- fare. These studies have for their ultimate purpose the better understanding of human nature and behavior, and greater effectiveness in dealing with human problems and potentials. Also included within Human Relations is the Teachers Education program. Mrs. Jeanette Hsieh is direc- tor of Teacher Education and assistant professor of Psychology. Theodore T. Hsieh, chairman of the division is assisted by Dr. Robert Rediehs in the area of sociology. Mr. Steve Cassells works in anthropology and sociology. Human lnsiiiuiions The division of HUMAN INSTITUTIONS offers courses in his- tory, government and economics-business. Economics-Business is a new development replacing the former Economics area of study. Assistant Professor Ron Richards is in charge of the new courses. Dr. Iohn Iuergensmeyer, is a specialist in governments and law. Assistant Professor Marc Cleworth teaches courses on European histories. Dr. Richard Clossman, chairman of the division, specializes in American history and current trends. 1. Physical Educalion PHYSICAL EDUCATION courses revolve around physical exer- cise programs, health and personal hygiene courses, coaching and developing purposeful recreational programs. Richard Helm, athletic director is chairman of this division and teaches classes First-Aid and Treatment of Injuries, Fundamentals and Techniques of Individual and Team Sports, Personal and Com- munity Health. Men's general phys. ed. classes are led by Woody Smith, who also instructs courses in Recreational Leader- ship, and Organization of Intramurals, Coaching Soccer and Baseball. In charge of the women's phys. ed. classes is Angela lakes. Included in the women's program are tennis, swimming, slimnastics , and bowling . 1. MRS.
