Office of Development This administrative office of the college, which is under the direction of the Rev. Harold R. Blatt, is responsible for fund raising, student recruitment, communications, and alumni activities. This is obvi- ously an important operation of the college, since it has so much to do with Judson's continuous growth and support, and it should be given equal recognition with the offices of academic affairs and student affairs that all fit together to make up this Judson family . An Associate Director of Development, Director of Admissions, and Director of Communications share the responsibility of this office, which is also served by two area directors and two admissions counselors, several secretaries and some student assistants. The development offices are located at the rear of the second floor of the Administration building. Students are always welcome - development is part of the family. 1. WENDELL P. Qfudenf Affairs The office of Student Affairs is under the direction of Dr. James W. Didier, who is responsible for the coordination and supervision of all student activities outside of the classrooms. These activities, which come under the general heading of co- curricular activities, include athletics, reach-out teams, stu- dent senate, WJUD, the LAMPLIGHTER and LANTERN, Home- coming, Winter and Spring Banquets, and a variety of other campus programs such as lectures, concerts, and films. These activities are all designed to give students many opportunities for expressing their personal interests and talents and developing their personal leadership skills and teamwork. Dr. Didier is aided in this area by Miss Sally Ackemann. This office is also responsible for the supervision of resident housing, which is considered a very important part of the Judson experience. The housing staff do their best to provide the stu- dents with a living environment that is healthy, comfortable, friendly, Christian, and supportive of all that contributes to each person's personal growth and maturity . Student Health services are also managed by this busy office of Student Affairs. , Student Affairs is staffed by those pictured here with assistance from several student workers. l. JUDY J.
