DR. EDGAR BOSS, DEAN Wheaton College - B.A. , Northern Baptist Semi- nary - B.D. , Th.D. Even though Judson College received its full accreditation in 1973 the work of Dr. Boss and his associates is not over. He and the members of Iudson's fac- ulty are constantly working to continue to improve and strengthen Iudson's curriculum and its classroom resources. New faculty members are sought and secured as needed by Dr. Boss, who also works with student and faculty committees to evaluate Iudson's academic program and performance. Much of Dr. Boss's time this year has been spent in helping the faculty develop a project to evaluate and upgrade Judson's total curriculum, examin- ing its particular strengths and weaknesses as it prepares students for their vocations in the world. The office of Academic Affairs promotes good scholarship among Judson's students by recognizing all those students who achieve a g.p.a. of 3.55 each semester and sponsoring various honors programs for graduating seniors. Also under the direction of Academic Affairs is the college library. There is a continuous effort to improve and enlarge the resources available for student and faculty use. The library is certainly one of the main avenues of activity on campus.

There was a beautiful old chair in his office that had belonged to Abraham Lincoln. He also had letters from Lincoln written to the pres- ident of the college during the times when cows grazed on the campus lawns. The student body is still small today and continues to depict a homey picture of people belonging and caring. They know each other! You feel a graciousness in an unhurried setting that makes even a stranger a part of the family. I have had so many come and say much the same thing about Judson College. It was a bit difficult to capture what they meant until I sensed it as a stranger in another setting. There is a sense of heritage here, even though we are only eleven years on this campus. Undoubtedly, this sense of heritage is due to the bonds that are ours in Christiandom. The caring is beautiful to see. As one student said recently, I feel I belong here - it's going to be difficult to leave! 7
