The 4-10 record of the 1971 Eagles seems to indicate a disap- pointing season. But with only six starters off last year's team, the Eagles were rebuilding this year. In spite of the injuries and illnesses which took their toll on the team, a grand effort was put forth all season and two players, Woody Smith and Silo Ruscheinski were named all-conference players. Judson's JV's become Varsity Players JV Coach and Assistant Varsity Coach - Jerry Smith. The Judson College Eagles lost their JV team to the Var- sity when a lack of players required the two teams to be- come one. Although the ballclub was not very big and was a little shallow in depth, they proved to be great hustlers. Jay Hagstrom proved to be a pleasant surprise by hauling in 101 rebounds and scoring 69 points. With substitutions of Wes Williams in rebounding, Chris Lloyds hustling, and the guarding of Steve Herington and Mark Wiseman, the JV.team proved to be of great resourcefulness to the team as fa whole.
