Bookstore furnishes supplies The bookstore was one of the most important places on campus. More like a little general store, Lib and Grace supplied us not only with books and school materials, but with such needed items as shampoo, stationery, and T-shirts. Gatemen provide seourlty Iudson gatemen presented a pleasant front to our visitors and guests and assisted in giving directions to dorms and various places around campus. Gatemen also pro- tected us from bothersome intruders and there were never any problems. 28

Meals were a tasty treat for those used to institutional cooking at other boarding schools, and no let down for those having home-cooked food all their lives, either. Food was deliciously prepared to satisfy the hunger of busy and active students, and delivered to our clutching hands by some of the most cheerful and happy ladies, ever.
