Preppy, Western Looks Top Chart The fashion scene at Juanita included a wide array lj styles, colors and cut. No matter what look you desired, coordina- tion with individual pieces came easily. Both ladies and gentlemen wore a rain- bow of stylesg casual, dress, preppy, ac- tive sports-wear, and workmen. Stu- dents were seen in a daily mix and match atmosphere. Ladies casual wear included: striaght legged jeans teamed with blazers over plaid shirts,' the western look high lighted with cowboy boots and hats: the preppy look of high collars, skinny ties and penny loajizrs. The ultra-casual in- cluded workmen overalls, painter pants and the basic jeans. On special days, the sophisticated look was achieved with wool skirts and vests, silk dresses and speciality fabric pant coordinates. Accessories played a integral part in each style of the fashion scene. Casual accessories included jewelry, high-heel shoes, belts and lepal ornamentation. Pearl necklaces, textured hose, the clas- sic pump shoe and monogrammed sweaters were predominate accessories with the sophisticated look. Men dis- played a toned-down version of each look in their daily clothing styles. Sweaters over dress shirts were popular teamed with jeans or slacks. Gentlemen often added a blazer to pull the look together. Natural earth tones were favored color with the gentlemen. Popular head gear included felt cowboy hats, and logoed baseball hats. All mens styles included a limited display of jew- elry. School fashion was individual, one day western, then sophisticated, then cas- ual, with each person dressing for their daily activities.
