JUNIOR HIGH Students of the Junior High are looking for- ward with keen interest to their new quarters for the coming year. While they are anxious to occupy the new rooms and use the new equipment, they are just as eager to do their part in making the new building comfort able. To this end they have already earned a part of the money necessary to equip the waiting room. Plans for additional purchases of next year are al- ready made. - Last year the subscription fund was used for the purchase of a radio. This made possible a mu- sic appreciation hour over t he radio for this year The course consisted of twelve lessons conducted by Walter Domrosch, on N. B. C. from New York City. Student note books were used during'the class hour which added interest to the lessons. There is an old adage to the effect that the grass on the other side of the fence always looks greenest. How erroneous this is. There is no need to travel farther than the boundaries of our own village to find most any talent deisred, students excelling in music, both instrumental and voice, good speakers or born actors. The eighth graders aspire to be authors. ' At present they are writing their.autebiographies. Grade seven excell as public speakers. Lmny fine talks have been given during the year in geo- graphy, current events, and on several special sub- jects. Several students in Junior High deserve hon- orable mention. Bob Pence, Everett Dodson, Louise Loving in the eighth grade, and Koorene Danner, Lorraine Fisher, Patricia Noble, Rozeta Robison, and Darlene Franson in seventh grade have been per- fect in attendance for the entire year. Bob Pence, Gloria Harney, Shirley Braucht, Do- ris Seiver, Madge Steele in grade eight, and Rozeta Robison and Patricia Noble in grade seven have been on the honor roll every month for the entire year. -This year an especial effort is being put forth to better our attendance record in Junior High. In the past in many specific cases poor Work and failure to Wpassn can be directly attributed to poor attendance. We have decided that sickness is almost the only excuse for absence.
