They were: Gary Acordagoitia, Danny Corta, Walter Carson, Kathy Ackerman, Linda Daudt, Keith Easterday, Kenny Haylett, Johnny Jaca, Dave Leavitt, Jonelle Lequerica, Christine Loveland, Betty Maher, Joe Maher, Shirley Maupin, Deanna McKay, Rosemary Obieta, At the start of the second six-weeks Mike Gluch joined the class. Rand Collins came during the second semester. Also during the second semester Dave Leavitt left. At the end of that year, with Mr. Reick as our advisor, there were 17 freshmen. The Sophomore year started by gaining Diana Jackson but losing Linda Daudt. That year the Sophomores raffled a blanket and radio to raise money for the Junior-Senior Prom. At the start of their most exciting year, the Juniors gained Steve Timmermanm, Georgia Houx and John Davis. During this year the grand total of 20 was diminished to 14 with the leaving of Kathy Ackerman, Keith Easterday, Mike Gluch, Christine Loveland, Steve Timmerman, and Georgia Houx. They raised money by having the concession stands and by cake raffles at the basketball games. In the spring the Juniors honored the seniors with a banquet and prom, The Days of Wine and Roses, as its theme. Starting the Senior year they lost Rand Collins and Betty Maher but gained Harold Crowell and Joyce Maupin. During the second semester Rand Collins returned. Graduating from the J ,V, H, S. Halls in May of 1967 are 15 confident seniors. They are: Gary Acordagoitia, Walt Carson, Dan Corta, Harold Crowell, John Davis, Ken Haylett, John Jaca, Diana Jackson, Jonelle Lequerica, Joe Maher, Deanna McKay, Joyce Maupin, Shirley Maupin, and Rosemary Obieta, Rand Collins. f rf' TREASURER VICE PRESIDENT Walt Carson Dan Corta PRESIDENT John Jaca, SECRETARY Deanna McKay vw, -.,.......,.....-.Nav-,f.:..-HQ-yay -H AA--- - -0- i 23 Z7 i'-I ' F2 T15 ix' - 5: F: I3 fu ilff :tr im Cf? 1-. I waited until the wave went down and curiously went over to see what it was. There awaited an old bottle, a cork substituting for a lid, and an old paper inside. Imanaged to get it out and in vague letters read the following: This is what happened to the Jordan Valley Mustang Class of 1967 in this prosperous year of 1977. GARY ACORDAGOITIA has found an unusual field of life. He has become a millionaire at re- repairing elevators. WALT CARSON is now a successful president of a large trucking corporation, but as a hobby . . . has taken up peddling. He says he likes to visit the pretty housewives every day. RAND COLLINS is now classified as one of the top hairdressers of the nation. His favorite location of work is in Hollywood--working with all his favorite stars. DAN CORTA is still giving advice after all these years. He is a counselor in a large high school. HAROLD CROWELL has found a satisfying life dealing with justice. He is now a famous judge. JOHN DAVIS has been awarded with an olympics gold medal in the two mile race. KEN I-IAYLETT has discovered a successful occupation as a traffic manager in downtown Los Angeles. JOHN JACA has achieved the Ph. D. degree and is successfully teaching at Harvard University. DIANA JACKSON is happily helping others in South America. She joined the Peace Corps shortly after high school graduation. J ONI LEQUERICA has become the first lady basketball player to win an All-Star award. JOE MAHER has gone all the way to the top with his favorite roping horse. He won the title of 1977 World Champion Calf Roper. JOYCE MAUPIN is happily married and has a part time job as a stenographer in the Air Force. A SHIRLEY MAUPIN has come across a career which is an all-time vacation. She is having a real blast teaching hula dancing in Hawaii. DEANNA McKAY is happily married and is having fun traveling over the country side with her husband, following rodeos. ROSEMARY OBIETA has been honored as the first lady astronaut to land on the moon. 1967 CLASS WILL We, the senior class of 1967, do feel that we should make a last will and testament before we leave the halls of our beloved Alma Mater. Therefore, we leave: To the Juniors--the ability to be as sweet and nice as we are. To the Sophomores--our ability to smile when things go wrong. To the Freshmen--the ability to make it through High School. GARY ACORDAGOITIA wills his physique to Mike Maupin in hopes it will help him attract the girls. WALT CARSON wills his daily office trips to Mike Lowry and hopes they will be more pleasant than his were. RAND COLLINS wills his A papers to Benita Jaca in hopes she will be valedictorian in 1969. DAN CORTA wills his dancing ability to all the in-coming freshmen boys so they won't have any trouble in Social Dancing. HAROLD CROWELL wills his ability to attract all the Freshmen girls to the new boys next year. JOHN DAVIS wills his ability to run to all 1968 J .V.H.S, students so the principal won't catch them. KEN HAYLETT wills his ability to operate the movie projector to Blas Telleria so he will be able to help the new teachers run it. JOHN JACA wills his white car cleanliness, by hitting mud puddles easily, to Bob Wroten so he can keep his Yellow Pickup clean. DIANA JACKSON wills her ability to drive slowly to Jim Y. JONI LEQUERICA wills her shortness to Nancy Skinner in hopes she won't have any more trouble getting through short door ways. JOE MAHER wills his book of his blank hall passes to any good forger. DEANNA McKAY wills all cowboys, except a few, to Mitzi Elordi. JOYCE MAUPIN wills her long hair to Patti Bennett and will also throw in a few jumbo rollers. SHIRLEY MAUPIN wills her ability to write poems to Bill Chertudi so he can win a Nobel Prize. ROSEMARY OBIETA wills to Anne Grenke her clean locker in hopes she'll continue in cleanliness. To the teachers we will our patience and understanding. To our parents we will all guidance in hopes they can keep us out of trouble when we graduate. :J w . .1 - JS. 1 'Q ---rs 3.
