Dnophecy It is now ten years later in the year 1974. I had been working hard on my big ranch in Texas, and I decided to take a vacation and look up old friends. As I approached the city of Jordan Valley I was very excited and happy to be home once more when suddenly the population sign caught my attention. I had to take two or three glances at it before I could believe my eyes - I couldn't believe that Jordan Valley would ever have a population of 3, 000 people. By now I was getting rather hungry after my long journey and I decided to get a bite to eat. I went into a cafe that was the biggest one Ihad ever seen in my life, and who was the owner - none other than Gayle Zimmerman. After talking with Gayle for a long time I found out that the reason Jordan Valley made such a growth was because of the missile base that was just out of town. Gayle told me that Bill Urquiaga was the head man at the missile base and was going to get married next month. She also told me that Timmy was the owner of the biggest sheep ranch in the country and Marvin Haylett owned a body and fender shop on Main Street in the big town of Jordan Valley. After talking with Gayle for a few more hours, I went on my way to look at good old Jordan Valley. As I passed the body and fender shop I saw Marvin working on a car. I went in and talked to him for a while and found out that Dan Arritola owned a big ranch in Montana and had a very pretty wife. After talking with Marvin I went to the airport where I saw Ilene Daudt getting off a jet. I talked to her for a short time and found out that she was a stewardess for the Pan American Airlines. Ilene told me that Richard was the world champion rodeo rider and Frank was the world champion boxer in the feather weight division. She also told me that Marshia is a beautician in Hollywood for the famous stars and that Glenn and Joe now have their own orchestra in New York - they call themselves The Gleam Stones. I had a wonderful time visiting all my old friends and talking about the fun we had in Jordan Valley High School, but now it was time for me to get back to my ranch in Texas. Richard wills his rodeo riding ability to Mike Gluch and hopes he will become a champion. Glenn wills his height to Walter Carson and hopes he becomes a star basketball player for J . V. H. S. Marvin wills his Casanova ability to Keith Easterday and hopes he keeps all the girls waiting in line. Tim wills his scholastic ability to Kenny Haylett and hopes he makes the honor roll every time. To the Freshmen we will our deepest sympathy for the following three years. To the Sophomores we will all our old book reports and theme papers as we won't be needing them anymore. To the Juniors we will the ability to make it through nine more months of school and to graduation because there were times when we didn't think we'd make it either. To the Faculty we will more peace and quiet in the school. hlstony On September 6, 1960, fourteen mean and happy-go-lucky Freshman entered the halls of Jordan Valley High School. In the beginning of the year we hailed Bill Mc Broom from St. Louis, Missouri. At the end of the year there were fifteen Freshmen, they were: Dan Arritola, Ron Corta, Frank Coscorosa, Charlene Dougal, Marshia Eiguren, Richard Eiguren, Rebecca Fretwell, Glenn Grenke, Marvin Haylett, Tom Lequerica, Carole Pollock, Joe Telleria, Bill Urquiaga, and Gayle Zimmerman. At the beginning of our Sophomore year We had fourteen students, having lost Rebecca Fretwell, That year we gave a very successful dance honoring the Freshmen. During the summer we lost Carole Pollock and Bill Mc Broom, so the Juniors numbered twelve. That year we raffled off a shotgun and held a dance. We also honored the Seniors with a Junior-Senior Banquet and Prom. As mighty Seniors we find we've lost Charlene Dougal and have gained Ilene Daudt, leaving twelve in our class. At mid-term we lost Ilene Daudt. Those graduating are: Dan Arritola, Ron Corta, Frank Coscorosa, Marshia Eiguren, Richard Eiguren, Glenn Grenke, Marvin Haylett, Tim Lequerica, Joe Telleria, Bill Urquiaga, and Gayle Zimmerman.
