CLASSES A WAY OF LIFE Took a huge, deep breath, then you entered inside, Wide eyes alert for seniors, so you knew when to hide You looked up from your map and out came a groan, Advanced Math?! I thought it was Algebra I! With brand new prestige you came back again, '6Now, it's my turn to drive the freshmen insane! You could dissect a frog, and drivgitg ,, s ,family car, With that under your belt, you thought you'd go far. Doors closed in your face as you sold magazines, And for Christmas that year, you all got class rings. The prom was terrific, but the SA'I s - oh Lord! uAnd I still can't figure what's on Mr. Spoon's board! You laugh how the freshmen all look up in awe, But you still can t decide between 'mailman' or 4law'? SE IORS - CLASS OF 1979 S tene Watts - President johnny Price - Vice-President Celia I-Ianeorh - Treafnrer Nell Glasser - Secretary Outstanding in academics, sports and extracurricular activities, the seniors provide leadership for j.M.The class of '79 enjoys the senior privileges of going to lunch five minutes ahead of the school, initiating freshmen and having an optional sixth period. As they arrive and leave the middle reserved section seniors relish the prestige of having the underclassmen stand for them. Seniors enjoy College Day, where they attend Chatham Central to talk with representatives from various col- leges. Seniors also have Senior Day, where they practice marching in for graduation and eating cake from the prom which was held in their honor. As graduation approaches, seniors anticipate the turning of their tassels. Suddenly it's all over. Everyone has mixed emotions.
