We were struck with an awareness of a world la rg e r than the comparatively insignificant one in which we move. They swept to an undefeated s e a son in the Central Tar Heel Conference, and they astounded everyone by trouncing Chatham Central, 87-0. A host of Ph anto m s surround fallen opponent in hard- fought Western Alamance game. The Phantoms, led in the backfield by halfbacks Steve Morris and Ronald Moore, attained a third ranking in the state before being whipped on a last-minute field goal by undefeated Elizabethtown. However, no one can say that this was not a triumphant season for the whole team. Steve Morris breaks into the open as J. M. wins in State play-offs with Millbrook. 1 Rona ld Moore is up-ended in J. M's rout of Madison Mayodan. In the state play-offs and Steve Morris picks up valuable yardage. An Outstanding Record and a Fine Team Another gang tackle by J.
