To serve as a link between students and faculty, to promote good school spirit, and to act as coordinator of all club activities-these are the important purposes of a Student Council. However for the council to function properly and effectively, each student must assume the responsibility of becoming good school citizens. This fact I feel that we, the students of LM., have realized this year more than ever before, and I feel too that we have attempted to make our Student Council a medium through which much good could be accomplished for our school. I Wish to take this opportunity to say T h ank you for your support of the Student Council and to challenge you in the year to follow to set worth- whil e goals to pursue and then work to bring them to pass As Time Goes By. Smdwi C h a i rm a n of the election com- m it t e e, Vice-President Doug Baxley, posts the results. Phil Johnson, Sergeant-at-Arms of the Student Council, presents morning devotions over the intercom. W ith her original ideas, Secretary-Treasurer Ann Liles spices the posters for one of the council-sponsored events. 26
