FOOTBALL LIMELIGI-IT This year we give special tribute to our 1961 varsity foot- ball team. Although J. M. lost eighteen boys at graduation last year, Coach Bill Charlton still pulled out a winning Phantom team. With only two starters back from last year'steam, the Phantoms compiled a very respectable 7-3 record. Losses were to strong Sanford, Sumner, and Mebane teams. J. M. finished second in the Central Tar Heel Conference with a 2-1 record. Co-captain Mike S e als won the Most Valuable Player award. 70 Student Trainer Freddie J.
