We are going to see what some of our fellow classmates will be doing then. ' The scene is a picnic. It is being held at Love Lake, which was once known as Lake Calhoun. As we enter our picnic area we see many of our old friends. First of all we see Mr. and Mrs. Steve Pachaceo tthe former Becky Lehnl and the little Pachaceos', which at the time total nine. They are chatting with one of Steve's good friends, Kelly Larson. Kelly is now a truant offiCer. ' For some odd reason quite a few people have turned to the teaching profession. To name a few there is Cindy Eckberg, Vanessa Farrell and Rick Ebert teaching English. Karen Schumaman, Dorine Morin and Roger Hamman teaching algebra. And to everyone's surprise we learn that Joann Carroll and Diane Tripp are teaching sc1ence. We see quite a few school day sweethearts, who are now married and each have at least four kids. They are Chuck and Cindy Everson, Bill and Debby Ratz, Lee and Vanessa Greiner, Rick and Terry Ebert, and Bruce and Donna Scott. On our way to the picnic tables we come upon a gang of grubby, dirty motor- cyclists. Which turns out to be some of our once most studious students. Among them are the Dove tDavid Linstrandi and his chick tPeggy Barankiewiczy, the Hawk tDale Barillel and his chick tLynn Dahlquistt and last but not least, Eagle Eyes tMike Ehrmanl and his chick tLori'NilliamsD. They are all standing around each with a can of apple beer in his hand. Unfortunately they will not be able to stay with us all afternoon because of an important business trip. By this time some more of our school chums have joined us. Jeff Umberger, who is now an undertaker, is talking business with Jack Stark, who is a doctor. Jeff wants them to start a business together. All the persons who die and who were Jack's patients should then be taken care of by Jeff. It seems to be that their first client just might be one of our school friends, Dennis DuErr. 'He rush over to a big oak tree and find Dennis lying there. we are almost sure he is dead. WAIT: He's not dead, but rather out cold - drunk: I guess that the apple beer was too much for him. The best remedy for him is a good sleep. So there he lays for the remainder of the picnic. As we walk away from our little friend, we hear singing. Everyone is gather- ing down by the lake shore. The nearer we get, the louder the singing gets and now we hear whistling. iWe push our way through the crowd and find there a chorus line. It consists of some school girls doing the can-can. They are Nancy Jonns, Mari Jo Oliver, Debby Anderson, Pat Dehn, Debby Montgomery, Debby Eisenhower, Linda Formo. Come on girls, go to it. we are entertained by the girls for about 30 minutes. Then a glare hits us in the eyes and we turn to see a silver Rolls Royce coming down the road. From out of the cax'cbmesimickey Shand dressed in ostrich feathers. Her contribution to the lunch was pheasant under glass. She is followed by Paul Sandwick, who is now a lawyer. By the time we get around to eating lunch, we find that the circus fat lady, Nancy Gullen has eaten everything: 80 between 375 of us we eat one pheasant under glass. To our disappointment the picnic didn't last much longer because of crying children who are hungry and had to be fed. t JSodends our visit to the future, which we leave with many treasured memories a or an.
