Club Homemakers all—these girls stitch and sew, cook, plan, act efficient and homey. They spons- ored the annual Sweethearts' Ball, using Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs as their theme. Nelda Allen reigned as Snow White and Ralph Brady as Prince Charming. New members were admitted with a candle- light ceremony, with older members acting as hostesses. President Beth Shaw capably officiated with aid from Vice-President Virginia Russell and Sec- retary Roene Adams. Edra Butterfield put their doings in the news as reporter of the group. Lowell Parry was winner of the Jordan Chapter in a public speaking contest and represented Jordan at the North Central District Contest, winning over champions from Tooele, Davis, South Summit, and Morgan. Annual Harvest Ball on October 6 was very successful. F.F.A. presented two radio programs over KDYL. Those who took part were Leo Iseki, Beverly Morris, Clyde Gailey, Lowell Parry, Maxine Searle and adviser, Mr. Boyce. The enrollment in agriculture increased over 80% last year, which pleased Mr. Paul C. Boyce, since good farming practices are so essential to the war effort. Many F.F.A. boys are now turning to farming as owners, renters or share crop- pers. The F.F.A. and Home Ec. planned a big banquet on April the fourteenth.
