The Year of the Ram toon At the end of the 1979-80 school year the Joplin and Inverness school boards met to discuss the issue of con- solidation. It was decided to be voted on in the upcom- ing election. When the ballots were counted and the votes favored consolidation, Joplin and Inverness schools were officially combined. Old rivals had to become new friends. The students had to forget about their old mascots, the Bulldog and the Cardinal, which were replaced with the Ram. The traditional colors of maroon and gold, and red and white, were forgotten for the new colors of blue, silver- gray, and white. In the course of one year, the students of J-l High with their new rising spirit have come through. 2 FACULTY A Look at the Teachers M. j. Moog, Librarian K. Monilaws, 5th 6th P.
