I ROI S. XWOOD Superirztezzderzt of Sclwnli' Under the guidance of Mr. Wood much progress and im- provement has been made in the Joplin School System. His enthusiasm, his love for youth, has made it possible for success to come to him. A friend of all who seek his friend- ship, he has come to hold a place in the hearts of those who know him. How could we construct a building-a school without his generous leadership and co-operation? Mr. Wood, here is a bit of wishful thinking on our part. -Here's hoping. Mr. Cecil Floyd is a busy man with a list of activities too long to include. He gives generously of his time and energy. Since Mr. Floyd became the assistant superintendent of the Joplin Schools the system has continued to make rapid progress. A believer in the fundamentals of education, he has formulated a policy stressing the three RS. Miss Marilyn Lewis, Secretary, Miss Mary Buxton, Secretary to Superintendentg Mrs. Joanne Wills, Sec- retary, and Mrs. Zelma Johnson, Record Clerk and P.B.X. operator. . '29 pi - , W A Although Mr. Floyd is firm in his belief that the school system must be operated on a business-like basis. he also recognizes the importance of holding fast to the idea that human values are the foundation of the instructional plan.
