Work Was Endless but Enjo able for Joplimoires 1 THEY TYPE THE COPY . . . Left to right: Carole Purkett. Sue Wright, Wilma Estes. The ambitious typists daily gave the type- writer's faithful keys a thorough workout. They typed countless numbers of papers, consisting of many long lists of students' names, addresses, and phone numbers for the Student Directory. They also wrote write-ups and typed them on copy sheets for the Annual. There was never a time to waste as any one of these girls will tell you. THEY TAKE THE PICTURES AND DO THE ART WORK . . . Left to right: Richard Huelster, Franklin Woodbury, Mary Dagley, Carole Kidd. Snap! Snap! Flash! Another picture! While the- photographers teetered precariously on col- lapsible chairs, they tried to keep up with the demands of Mrs. Ulrici, Sara, and Paula to get pictures that told colorful stories. We are quite fortunate in having Mary for our artist. No less than the beauty of music is the beauty of design as displayed by Mary's artistic hand. THEY MAKE THE MONEY . . . First row: Bob Davidson, Charles Harris, Shirley Sharon, Janith Olinger. Shirley William, Patti Page, Sammie Cooper, Gene Wallace, Gerry Taylor. Second row: Jack Fay, Bill Christman. Tom Shepherd. Wayne Habermehl, Ron Robson, Everett Olson. Lanny Lea. Under the capable supervision of Bob Davidson, Business Manager, the advertising staff put on their best sales- manship manners to secure contracts for the advertising in the Student Directory and thus built up the financial foundation for the Joplimo. THEY EDIT THE BOOK . . . Left to right: Sara Van Fleet, Co-Editorg Lee Williams, .Iudy Newman. Editorialistsg Paula Pond, Co-Editor. The Co-Editors and Editorialists have been quite busy this year keeping tab on the organiza- tions and activities of IHS, procuring snaps around and about the school, and putting their various ideas into words. They have spent long hours in making this Joplimo more attractive, more interesting, and more informative. And under the expert guidance and supervision of Mrs. Ulrici, they hope this year to have produced a yearbook which will long remain in the memories of the Class of 1955. U

humid' .nhyf MHe knows all, sees all, hears allf, golden words of wisdom spoken many centuries ago, are still applicable in this modern age for our principal, Roy W. Greer. 6'He knows all.', lVlr. Creeris knowledge of student activities seems un- ending. The new activities he has introduced this year will have a permanent place in the years to come. '4He sees allf, Quick to notice infractions of school rules, Mr. Greer has also proved himself an accurate and fair judge of student character. 'tHe hears all. Roy VU. is the first to hear of all the triumphs and shortcomings of JHSers and while proud of the triumphs he copes fairly and squarely with the shortcomings. Mr. Creerss joli has not been an easy one this year. but in his fair con- sideration of student prohlems, he has won the admiration of lioth the faculty and the students. And so it is with the greatest pleasure that we dezlicfzte THE l955 JOPLIMO to our neu' principal . . . ROY YV. GREER.
