Into the soul of every boy and girl of our school, creeps a little of the Joplin High Spirit and thereafter, he is never the same as before. A careful observation will find evidence of these things within the covers of each yearbook - And so we recommend the reading of these pages for enlighten- ment as to our curricular and co-curricular activities. We have tried to capture in the pages of this Joplimo, through the song hits, the spirit of Joplin High - We have tried to present a picture of our social life, with an approach to our special problems - our often comic en- counters - our memories. We have tried to show our gratitude to the faculty and to the school for giving us these years of preparation for richer experiences and for greater responsibilities to come. Many people in all walks of life claim Joplin High as their Alma Mater. They remember with pride their high school experiences. They feel the school song Dear Old Jop1in belongs partly to them, and they never hear it sung in a lusty Crescendo or in a more meditative allegro without thinking of their high school days. Within the pages of this Joplimo will be found a pictorial reproduction of school life at Joplin Senior High. We are happy to leave the Hit Parade of 1955 as a partial picture of Joplin High School.
