The pictorial art Work on the back board tells us that this little quiz is over Tennyson's Idylls of the King. Page 12 ' Wada? Testimonial? -I should say. Here We see Madge and Lois busy with that little machine. All they do is turn the handle and We are the poor sufferers. These tests are very educational We're told, but We are more at ease when We know it is a notice or an assembly program in the print! Tuesday is a busy day for all. Students are taking exams, final preparations are made for the class plays, and those rov- ing reporters can be seen about the halls rounding up the latest news. We all suffer from Writ- er's cramp 'cause the assign- ments get longer as the Week gets Well underway.

No blue Mondays for us - we're too busy. Our militar- ists practically take the place over. The Student Council with its iron hand the teachers' meetings, and the Weekly R. O. T. C. inspection. Yes, I think We can really call it Militant Monday. Howard is getting ready for that regular Monday competition that all the R.O.T.C. boys take part in. They sit at home Sunday evening polishing buttons, shining shoes, and brushing uniforms for all they're worth. One man in every company wins the striking red and green orderly braid for one Week -if he is absolutely spotless in- spection hour. Next Monday every- body gets a new chance. Every Monday the stu- dent Council, u n d e r Francis' guiding hand, hatches plans to keep us in line. These include the sponsoring of assemblies, locker-checking, and oth- er helpful but unobtru- sive jobs. With an elected representative f r o m every home room, our Student Council is a real sample of young democ- racy at Work. LQTMYNNRT R L SMCKYUMHF BWKMS Y . WS me Q07 CON Page 11
