Ha GIRLS GYM CLUB The Glrls Gym classes were orgamzed February 20 and the follow mg officers were elected Leah Rob1nson presldent Ruth Carter v1ce presldent W1ll1e Munday secretary and Vera Glbson treasurer Al though the classes were late 1n orgamzlng much good has been accom pllshed and the work has been very mterestmg We have been greatly hand1capped 1n not hav1ng a gymnaslum IH the school bulldlng and for thls reason physlcal exerclse has not been exten 91VGlV carrled on by the glrls However we d1d the best we could by rent mg the Armory and uslng the c1ty playgrounds Durmg the cold weather two large classes met at the Armorv one class on Mondays and Wednes days and the other on Tuesdays and Thursdays Both classes were com blned lnto one when the weather became Warm and th1S class was held at the playgrounds The work has cons1sted of the regular gymnaslum drllls greatly appreclated the splend1d QUDQFVISIOH of Mr H A Henley who has Wllllllgly glven hlS tlme and mstructlon to the orgamzatlon WM 4 LE SOCIETE DRAMATIQUE DE QUANZ The dramatlc SOC16tV of the Class of 15 was organlzed January lb with the followmg as officers Presldent Earl Mxlton vice presldent Marle Brookshlre secretary and treasurer Vera Glbson sergeant at arms Hlram Bottenfleld cr1t1c and advxsory officer Mlss Isherwood The members have been domg excellent work and the average attendance has been very good Shakespeare s As You L1ke It and Materl1nck s Blue blrd have been studled and several mterestlng programs have been glven A pantomlme farce Wanted a W1fe was presented by several members Fr1day May 8 for assembly V G 15 Photo by e d 9 u ' J av - I I - a 1 - , u - .
