Page Twenty-Two .- ,.11.7'. f- -- Class History As we, the Seniors of '59, look back on our 4 years in high school, we find that we have many moments to remember. Our time here can be divided into four sections. In the fall of 1955, we entered high school with a group of 64. To our dismay we were initiated as Dogpatch characters. Any indignities We may have suffered were soon forgotten when the Senior Class gave us a party that night. That year the football team, with 6 players from our class, reached the semi- finals in the State Class A tournament. With our final exams behind us, we gladly left school for three months of fun. A class of 46 started the Sophomore year. We greeted Mr. Swain, our new principal, with an air of anticipation. The basketball team went to the finals in the State Class A tournament. Our class placed 2 players on the squad. Now with our finals over, we were ready for 3 months of vacation. We finally became upperclassmen with a group of 47. So many exciting things happened during our Junior Year. The Junior play, Swing Feverf, was a big success. Also there was much excitement planning for the junior-Senior Prom and Banquet. The theme of the prom was Teahouse of the August Moon. Finally our class rings arrived in April. Never was there a more excited group than we, showing our rings to everyone. Now with final exams over, we welcomed 3 months of freedom. In the fall of 1958, we began our Senior year with a group of 44. We are looking forward to the Senior Play, the trip to Washington, D. C., and the Iunior-Senior Prom and Banquet. We initiated the Freshmen as Disneyland characters and gave them a party that night. Soon we will receive our diplomas and walk out into the world. Although we may do many things and visit many places, we shall always remember our days in high school.
