Our Senior Yeor Oh, what it is to be a Senior! To look over all with pride as you linger, To feel like a bird gliding in a mlm After bucking a storm before the dawn. That's how we felt our first Senior Day- Very important, happy and gay. We were determined to make some A's But we lost all that after a couple of days. We lifted our heads high And watrhed the Freshmen go shyly by. We saw the expression on their faces As they viewed the strange new places We had fun during Freshman Initiation, For whieli they show little appreciation. We went to- every football game And saw most of the opponents put to. shame. After the Christmas and New Year Fiestas We all .settled down for the second Semester. Our basketball team wasn't forsaken, For it was seldom they were over-taken. The part that we all liked best Was that of taking the final test. We went around with a great big grin And knew that soon it would come to an end. Then fame time for graduation, Which found its tense with anticipation- Although we regretted leaving our friends, High School, they say, is where real life begins. As we said good-bye and started to part, We knew that in old j-H belonged our heart. And if 1 had it to do over again, I believe I would start as a Freshman. -Carroll R. Miehaud Page 10
