Several projects were sponsored this year by the National Honor Society. One which has become an annual project was the making and selling of mums for the Homecoming and Thanksgiving games. The N.H.S. attempts each year to have at least three assemblies, consisting of the induc- tion of their officers and new members, a pay- assembly, and a citizenship program. Following a week of stressing citizenship, the N.H.S. con- ducted a program at which speeches on citizen- ship were made. Each year the society attempts to make enough money to present a worthwhile gift to the school. This year they presented the school with a set of flags. HOTEL NOBLE annual citizenship program presented by the National Honor Society. .X Assembly line production turns out mums for the Homecoming and Thanksgiving games.

One of the biggest honors that can be bestowed upon a student at J.H.S. is the coveted memhership into the Na- tional Honor Societv. Each year hopeful juniors anxiously await the announce- ment of next vearis National Honor Society memhers. The ones chosen arc proud of their election into this society. since the qualifications for entrance arc hased upon scholarship. character. leader- ship. and service. To he eligible for membership into the N.H.S.. a student must have at least a HB average. The aim of this method of selecting is to present to the most deserving. well- rounded individual in the senior class the privilege of membership in the Jones- horo Chapter of the National Honor Society.
