Good Citizenship Award. Sandra has proved to he a leader hy serving as Sophomore class treasurer. Junior class vice-president. and treasurer of the hand. Because of her scholastic ahility and dependability. Sandra was inducted into the N.H.S. where she serves as vice-president. Loyalty to her school is evident because of her participation in various activities and her ahility to do a job well. ART SHOP 30

Highlight of the hristmas Season Lillian Jones. overjoyed with having been chosen first beauty. accepts a dozen American Beauty roses from Mrs. Kate Fryer. Her escort, Larry Lewis, looks on. This isnst the first year Lillian has received honors for her beauty, having placed first last year and second the year before. Beauty isn't all she is known for. Her pleasing personality and witty remarks will long be remembered at J.H.S. Lillian is a senior and a member of various clubs. Sponsors of the Hurricane Ball was the Hurricane annual staff. Bob Harrelson, a IHS senior. and the Catalinas. from North Little Bock. provided the entertainment, and Mrs. ,lane Steinegger was the Mistress of Ceremonies. The dance was given in the East School cafeteria. which was decorated in the Christmas motif. Beside a massive fireplace was a large decorated tree. As the beauties were announced. Mrs. Aston presented each beautyis escort with a stocking bearing her name lettered in glitter. These were hung on the chimney as each beauty took her place before the fireplace. Dancing to the music of Bob Harrelson and the Catalinas, the students look forward to intermission. DAUGHERTY LUMBER COMPANY
