The Library Club made many contributions to the school this year. A tea for the teachers of Jonesboro High School was spon- sored by the Library Club members. The teachers enjoyed the delight- ful refreshments of punch and cake which were served by the members of the club. Gloria Garner, Lettie Metcalf, and Judith Cambill serve refreshments at the annual tea in honor of the teachers. To Create Interest in Reading In order to make the library a more attractive place, members Library Club members are always ready to assist students in of the Library Club work very diligently to have bulletin boards doing reference work and in finding books. The Library Club that catch the eye of the students. is truly an asset to JHS.

Jonesboro Girls' State and Boys' State delegates took their places with other students from Ar- kansas. at Camp Robin- son, near Little Rock. for ,the annual observance of Girls, State and Boys' State. June l-7 was the time set for the boys. The girls took over on June 8, and stayed through June 1-1-.
