The race was on! As tive girls worked diligently to raise money tor the Golden Hurricane Band . . . CRASH! the lens ot Mr. Stien's camera was shattered as he shot the mugs of the glamorous gals and handsome guys of J.H.S. during school day picture taking. SEPTEMBER . . . we start in with a bang and greet our new friends . . . a whole host of new classes and teachers . . . clubs started in on plans for the year . . . more food than ever was stowed away at the annual Booster Club barbecue . . . something new in assemblies was begun with the impressive stu- dent council installation . . . school spirit came in with the first pep meetings . . . and the HURRICANE started- out right by winning two and tying one of their first three games . . . NOVEMBER . . . turkeys and pilgrims in a Whirlpool of activities star in the third chapter ot school year . . . the announcement of the coveted DAR award winner was made . . . the anticipation and thrill ot the Whos Who con test brought much excitement to the halls of J.H.S .... Then came the blow ot the first report card . . . the coronation of the band queen was the halt time activity of the Helena game . . . the Thanksgiving vacation and the annual Turkey Day Game ended this month.
