♦ -d Weary seniors ask: Holding a B.S. degree from the Univer- sity of Alabama, Mrs. Mary Smith teaches sophomore and junior English. Mrs. Smith sponsors the F. T.A. and en- joys fishing and reading. Mrs. Doris Hixon holds a B.S. in educa- tion from the University of Alabama . She teaches junior and senior English and also sponsors a Y-Teen group. Mrs. Gloria Kelley teaches freshman and sophomore English. She graduated from the University of Alabama with a B.S. degree in education. Counselors provide a listening ear and guiding hand Mrs. Ruth Marshall, who advises students and helps them with their future plans, holds an A. B. from Judson College and also has a Master ' s degree in Education and Guidance from the University of Alabama, Mrs. Barbara Triplett, who holds a B.A. and M.A. from the University of Alabama, is counselor for freshmen and sophomores. One of her hobbies is sketching in charcoal, and she hopes to find spare time in the future to paint in oils. Mrs. Helen Chandler, assistant registrar, is a graduate of Jones Valley. She enjoys sewing and is also very active in her church. Mrs. Maudene Driggers, head registrar, is responsible for the efficiency of the office staff. A graduate of Jones VaUey, Mrs. Driggers enjoys reading, knitting, and watch- ing television. 17
