Libraries are noi made: iheg grow. Birrell MRS. ALICE MORROW, our librarian, finds reward in seeing young people discover pleasure and knowledge through reading as they use the library. It is her desire that Jones Valley High School Library will be a pleasant and profitable place for any student to spend his time. Mrs. Morrow holds an A. B. degree from Birmingham- Southern and a B. S. degree from Peabody College. 29 This is certainly true of Jones Valley High School Library, and it is trying each year to be the research center that meets the needs of this school. One of the most helpful people in all Jones Valley is our library clerk, MRS. ANN BRAD- FORD. She assists students in research and lo- cating books. Mrs. Bradford is also of help to students who are writing term papers or prepar- ing book reports. Mrs. Bradford is a graduate of Phillips High School in Birmingham. Her hobbies include sewing, cooking, and, as you might expect, reading.

Languages and Speech add spice +o curriculum . I r 5 Vivace is the word for our French teacher, MISS FANNIE LEE FULLER fabovej. Miss Fuller is interested in traveling. As a Baptist Student Missionary, she has visited such exciting places as the Philippine Islands, Hong Kong, Tokyo, and Hawaii. Her favorite means of transporta- tion is, without a doubt, air travel. Miss Fuller teaches French and English. She graduated from Jacksonville State University with A. B. and B. S. degrees. MRS. SHARON RICHARDSON qabove rightj graduated from the University of Alabama with a B. A. degree. Besides teaching Spanish, she also teaches freshmen English. Mrs. Richardson is very interested and active in sports, namely, tennis, golf, and swimming. She also enjoys reading. MISS JOYCE NORMAN is a very busy person. Besides her speech classes, she also teaches freshman English. Her outside activities include sponsoring the majorettes and re-establishing the school newspaper. She also writes for professional journals and various business or- ganizations. She holds a B. S. degree from Texas Wesleyan.

Fine aris vocaiional and physical iraining MRS. GAIL SCRUGGS, who holds a B. S. from Samford, is responsible for the success of our choir. She spends all day at the piano teaching the choral classes. In her spare time, Mrs. Scruggs enjoys boating, swimming, ski- ing, and fishing. MR. FELIX KING fbelow lefty teaches In- dustrial Arts, which include mechanical draw- ing and woodwork. He received a B. S. from Florence State and did graduate work at Auburn At home, Mr. King enjoys working in his own shop. His extra time is spent in fishing. MR. RON JACKSON fbelow centerj, a most welcome new member of the faculty, received a B. S. from Samford, where he intends to get a Master's in the near future. His primary in- terest at school is to have a band of which I. V. will be proud. In his spare time, he enjoys fishing and skiing. MRS. SUE JAMES Qbelow rightj holds a B. F. A. from the University of Georgia, and she has done graduate work at the University of Alabama. She is J. V. 's favorite art teacher, and she works hard to make the school more beautiful. She loves gardening and canning jellies and jams in her free time.
